Appointments

What you can expect at your first appointment:

Be prepared for your first appointment to last 45 minutes

We will initially want to talk to you about your pain or problem and we will ask you relevant questions about your health. It will be helpful for you to bring any information you feel that may be relevant to your problem such as x-ray or scan reports and medications lists.

You will also be asked questions about your home, family, work and lifestyle so that we can establish any physical demands on you in your day to day life.

We will want to do a physical assessment, so please be prepared and bring appropriate clothing such as shorts or a vest top or other comfortable clothing that allows us to easily examine you.

Following the examination we will discuss with you our findings and our give you our professional opinion on the diagnosis and treatment or management options. Together we will create an action plan that suits your needs and your issue.

Your rights:

Your confidentiality is of upmost importance. From time to time it may be necessary and appropriate to liaise with other medical practitioners. This would be discussed with you first.

Please feel free to have a support person with you for assessment / treatment.
