Meet The Team
Raised in Jersey, Alexandra Frankham has worked in the field of musculoskeletal, obstetric and urogynaecology physiotherapy since 2005, within both public and private enterprises, including working as a qualified pilates instructor (DMA Pilates, Australia). Alexandra currently works both privately and for the States of Jersey, assisting women to recover after childbirth. Alexandra graduated from the University of Southampton in 2003, worked in Wales, and furthered her physiotherapy experience in the southern hemisphere where she gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Continence and Pelvic floor Rehabilitation from the University of Melbourne, Australia, a Postgraduate Certificate in Acupuncture from the University of Otago, New Zealand, and a Masters of Health Practice from the Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand.

Paul Frankham hails from Auckland, New Zealand. After graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from the Auckland University of Technology, he worked at one of the country’s busiest sports physiotherapy clinics in the South Island of New Zealand, primarily treating ski and snowboard-related injuries. After specialising in the field he became a physiotherapist for the men’s US Ski Team’s Alpine World Cup team, travelling in Europe and abroad with the team for three years. In 2013, Paul began his postgraduate university studies and graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science (musculoskeletal physiotherapy). Paul has over 11 years of experience working in private practice physiotherapy and with elite sports teams, and continues to work closely with the US Ski Team. In 2014 he travelled as physio with Team USA to the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy
Alena is a Physiotherapist with a passion for women’s and pelvic health. She graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, where she completed rotations at the Maternity and Gynaecological Unit of one of Norway’s largest hospitals. Notably, Norway is renowned for groundbreaking research in Pelvic Health. Continuing her specialisation, Alena completed postgraduate courses in Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy through the UK-based Professional Network of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. She gained valuable experience working in a private obstetric clinic in Bergen, collaborating with chiropractors, a midwife, and a breastfeeding counsellor. Beyond her clinical work, Alena is a seasoned Yoga and Pilates instructor, having taught since 2009. She believes that freedom of movement, combined with mental health care, is crucial for overall well-being. Alena brings her skills and enthusiasm to serve the local community and her passion for travel, islands, and the sea makes Jersey an ideal new home.
